1st Fridays on the Square Join the fun at 1st Fridays on the Square. Begin in March. 5pm-9pm. Specials in restaurants and businesses - kids activities. No 1st Friday in July - join us in August. Sponsors: Monticello Merchant Group Monticello Chamber Monticello Main St. First State Bank
Food Check Out Day Breakfast and Food Challenge Breakfast and food quiz followed by race to fill the carts to benefit the food pantry. Co-sponsors: Chamber, Piatt County Farm Bureau, County Market

Evening in the Garden - Garden Walk July 11, 2009 Join us to visit over 8 outstanding gardens and a special evening in the garden. Refreshments served in our State St. garden. 3pm-8pm Tickets available in advance or day of event. Lunch with Santa on the Train Saturday & Sunday December 5-6, 2009 Ride the train with Santa and enjoy a sack lunch, fun and and special visit with Santa. See full schedule Santa visits with each youngster during Lunch with Santa on the Train that attractes riders from all over Central Illinois.
